The plumbers are very experienced and professional. In November of 2024 I had an issue with my sewage system as you can c in the pictures. Great experience with Jerrod and his team. Very professional, friendly and honest. He was able to detect a small leak after we had foundation repair completed and gave us different options that would work best for us. Thank you!Posted on Google![]()

Plumber tried to scare us because he saw us an easy mark since we’re seniors. Didn’t attempt to remove an outside facet from the outside and cut through the Sheetrock inside. When repairing the toilet leak, tried to say we didn’t have vent pipe and suggested we needed to let him remove concrete floor around the toilet. It impressed by his work or ethics.Posted on Google![]()

Our Services in Murphy

Drain Cleaning &Unclogging
If your drains are backing up or your shower turns into a foot bath every morning, it’s time to do more than pour another bottle of store-bought drain cleaner down there. Around Murphy, TX, we deal with a ton of clogged sinks, tubs, and toilets — and we’ve got the tools to take care of it the right way. Our team uses equipment that actually clears out the whole pipe, not just punches a hole through the middle of the mess. We also figure out why the clog happened so you don’t end up in the same situation a week later. If you’re tired of slow drains, weird smells, or unexpected backups — let’s clear it out for good.

General PlumbingRepairs & Maintenance
Nobody wants to deal with plumbing repairs, but ignoring them usually makes things worse — and more expensive. In Murphy, we help homeowners stay ahead of the curve with fast repairs and regular maintenance that keeps everything running smooth. Got a leaky faucet? We’ve got it. Water heater not doing its job? We’ll fix it or replace it. Pipes making weird noises or water pressure acting up? We’ll figure it out before it turns into a full-blown mess. Maintenance might not be exciting, but trust us — it’s way better than waking up to a flooded bathroom.

Whole HomeWater Filtration
If you’ve ever noticed that your tap water tastes weird, smells off, or leaves white spots all over your faucets and glasses, you’re not imagining things. A whole-home water filtration system can seriously upgrade your water — and your quality of life. We’ve installed filtration systems all across Murphy, TX and nearby neighborhoods, helping families get cleaner, better-tasting water straight from the tap. You’ll notice the difference in your showers, laundry, coffee, and even how long your appliances last. It’s one of those upgrades that pays for itself fast — and you’ll never want to go back.

CommercialPlumbing
Running a business is already a full-time job — you don’t need plumbing issues piling onto your to-do list. Whether it’s a leaking pipe behind your breakroom wall, clogged restrooms, or a water heater that’s acting up, we help Murphy businesses stay up and running without all the drama. We’re fast, professional, and flexible with your schedule, because we know shutting down your business over a plumbing problem just isn’t an option. From retail shops to restaurants to office buildings, we’ve got your back when it comes to keeping the water flowing and your space safe.

Hydro JettingServices
If your drains keep clogging no matter what you do, chances are it’s not a surface-level problem anymore. That’s where hydro jetting comes in. It’s like giving your plumbing a pressure wash from the inside — blasting out grease, hair, roots, and all the stuff that’s been clinging to your pipes for years. We use high-pressure water (no harsh chemicals) to get your pipes cleared out without damaging them. It’s quick, super effective, and works for both homes and businesses dealing with stubborn, recurring clogs. If nothing else has worked, this will.

PlumbingInspections
Sometimes plumbing problems aren’t super obvious — until they’re really obvious. A plumbing inspection gives you the heads-up before things go sideways. We check everything: pipes, valves, fixtures, water heaters, water pressure, and even look for signs of slow leaks that could wreck your walls or floors if left alone. It’s perfect if you’re buying a house, selling one, doing a remodel, or just want peace of mind knowing everything’s working like it should. In Murphy, TX, we do inspections with zero fluff and all facts — so you know exactly what’s going on with your system.
Plumbing FAQs for Murphy, TX Homeowners
Is a leaking water heater dangerous?
It can be. A small drip from a fitting may just need tightening, but water pooling under the tank often means the tank itself is failing, which can lead to a sudden flood. A leaking temperature and pressure relief valve can also signal dangerous pressure. Turn off the power or gas and the cold water supply, and have it checked. With gas units, any gas smell means leave and call the gas utility.
What is a backflow preventer used for?
A backflow preventer keeps contaminated water from flowing backward into your clean drinking water supply. That can happen when pressure drops in the main, pulling water from irrigation systems, hoses, boilers or other connections back into the lines. These devices are common on sprinkler systems and commercial buildings, and many water providers require testable ones to be inspected regularly.
Is trenchless sewer line replacement good?
For many homes, yes. Trenchless methods such as pipe bursting or lining replace or rehabilitate a sewer line through small access points instead of digging a long trench, which saves driveways, lawns and landscaping. It isn't right for every situation, like a line that's fully collapsed or has severe sags. A camera inspection shows whether trenchless sewer line repair is an option for your line.
Where does Murphy get its water?
Murphy's water comes through City of Murphy Public Works, which buys it from the North Texas Municipal Water District. The supply comes mainly from Lavon Lake and is treated in Wylie. The city reports average water pressure of about 65 PSI. If your home's pressure seems much higher or lower than that, it may be worth having your pressure-reducing valve checked.
Do homes in Murphy use septic systems or city sewer?
Murphy homes are on city sanitary sewer. Wastewater goes to NTMWD's Muddy Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility in Wylie. That means the city maintains the main lines, while the sewer lateral running from your house to the city connection is typically the homeowner's responsibility. Slow drains or backups in multiple fixtures can point to a problem in that lateral. On The Way Plumbing can inspect and repair it.
